During the same period, the number of new orders for ships was 9.57 million dwt, up 71.1% year-on-year and 91.4% quarter-on-quarter, of which the number of seagoing ships was 3.65 million corrected gross tons.

As of the end of March this year, the number of orders held by Chinese shipping enterprises was 107 million dwt, down 24.6% year on year, the same as that at the end of 2012; Among them, seagoing ships accounted for 36.79 million corrected gross tons, and export ships accounted for 85.5% of the total.
